So after a year and a third of being told our current President is lazy, stupid, and crazy — and with a good portion of his actions backing up those estimations — I ran across these two items this week:

China bans exports to North Korea of weapons-related goods

China has banned exports to North Korea of electronics and other goods that can be used in making weapons, tightening U.N. sanctions imposed over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile development.

China president’s conciliatory trade gesture raises optimism 

The first presents the development as entirely due to UN pressure (heh), but the second leads me to give more credit than Trump probably deserves. Time will tell if we end up in better shape after the posturing is over, but it’s not impossible that Trump got something right here.
