In exchange for freedom from prosecution or massive regulation due to their bungled (at best) handling of user data, I would like to suggest that facebook agree to do the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Supply one to five simple buttons to allow users to delete posts, photos, likes, comments, messages, and activity from the beginning of their account through April 15, 2018.<\/li>\n
  2. Agree that deleted content will not be retained on any facebook or outside backup server once deleted.<\/li>\n
  3. Agree to outside monitoring and review of the writing and testing of the deletion code and random inspection of all servers to verify said deletion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
